Youth Ambassador Expectations
As a Youth Ambassador, students should be comfortable with interacting with the public, be outgoing, flexible, and be eager to learn. Youth Ambassadors are expected to attend the mandatory orientation in May, monthly meetings that begin in August, volunteer at the two public programs (Juneteenth and MLK Day) and participate in the two Community Outreach Days (one in the fall and one in the spring). Youth Ambassadors are not allowed to miss more than three (3) meetings and/or community service events without prior communication and approval. Failure to communicate absences in advance will result in a removal from the program and a status change to “general volunteer”.
