
Apply for a scholarship to cover the cost of summer camp at Atlanta History Center. For up to four weeks, campers play games, participate in team-building activities, and have the chance to explore our 33-acre campus in the heart of Buckhead.
Atlanta History Center is grateful to the Akers Foundation for their landmark gift and early support of this effort to provide more students with the opportunity to participate in our summer camps.
FAQ
- Camper must attend a Georgia Title I school AND receive free/reduced lunch (must provide verification).
- Camper must be registered for the grade level they will have completed by the end of the 2024-2025 school year.
- Guardian or caretaker of camper must agree to provide transportation to and from camp daily during the week of camp.
- If awarded a summer camp scholarship, there is a $25 nonrefundable deposit to secure your reservation. This deposit will be due within 48 hours of receiving notification.
Submit 2025 Atlanta History Center Camp Scholarship application electronically. Applications are due March 28, 2025.
Submit the following required documents along with the online application:
- Proof the camper attends a Georgia Title I school AND receives free/reduced lunch.
Scholarships are limited and will be awarded based on pre-selected criteria and completion of the application and required documents. Those who have been awarded a scholarship will receive notification via email and phone call on Monday April 21, 2025. Recipients will have 48 hours after notification to submit their $25 deposit. All applicants will know their status by May 1, 2025; if not selected, please consider applying for next year.
