Are you looking for an interactive, fun way to teach history to your students? Or are you trying to provide some enrichment to a senior home? If so, book a Travel Trunk Presentation. Pick one of our Travel Trunks and our Manager of Outreach Programs to bring to you!
During the presentation, our manager will introduce a variety of artifacts and provide education on the importance and relevance of each item. Trunk presentations are only available for booking within a 100-mile round trip from Atlanta History Center. All Travel Trunks are designed to match state social studies standards.
If you’d like a presentation for a larger group, multiple presentation bookings are available for extra fees. Travel Trunks are also available for a 2-week rental for additional fees.
Interested in extending your students’ time with the traveling trunk rental post-presentation? Let us know in your request form, and a 2-week extension and pickup will be added to your rental for an additional fee.

Presentations are available to non-Title 1 schools for $100, and Title I schools for $50. The mileage cost is determined by the roundtrip mileage from Atlanta History Center to your location at $0.67 a mile. Presentations are available within a 100-mile roundtrip from Atlanta History Center.

Learn about the creation of the Declaration of Independence and its three parts.

5th grade, 8th grade, US History
This program focuses on President Franklin D Roosevelt and his connection to the state of Georgia. Students will be transported back in time to learn about his home and rehabilitation center in Warm Springs, as well as the New Deal programs that were created as a result of FDR’s time spent in Georgia.
