About the Demonstrator
Dolph Amick is one of the Resident Artists at the Center for Puppetry Arts. A typical day at the Center might find him performing as a puppeteer in shows like Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer or Dr. Seuss’s The Cat in the Hat, or as a musician in Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type, Pete the Cat, or Pancho Rabbit and the Coyote. He might be composing scores for shows like Owl at Home, Harold and the Purple Crayon, or the award-winning Old MacDonald’s Farm, or working as sound designer for Mother Goose or Tesla vs. Edison. He might be writing scripts and shooting silly videos for the front lobby, or “The Raisin King” episodes on the Center’s Facebook page. He might be teaching puppet camp classes, or directing a show, or cutting out shadow puppets to play with at his desk. What’s he doing today? Who knows? All that’s sure is that he loves his job, his beautiful and brilliant teen, Valentine, and his clever fiancée Lisa.
