Duration: Ongoing, CraftNow that you’ve sailed the seven seas, it’s time to set your anchor. You’ll make lighthouses and learn about the warm glow which has drawn so many sailors home over the years. You’ll even see some Georgia lighthouses you could visit yourself!

Duration: 25 minutesGet reeled into the fishing and oystering cultures of the Georgia coast. At this station, you will drop your line to learn about historic Gullah Geechee culture and about the importance of conserving these coastal communities.

Duration: 25 minutesGrab your scuba gear and dive into the myths of the ocean. Explore mysterious places, powerful beings, and creatures of the depths while you play a fun game of Go Fish. Use character cards to learn about interesting tales of the sea.

Deep Dive: Secrets of Sunken Ships

Duration: 25 minutesDiscover what lies at the bottom of the sea as we investigate a shipwreck off the coast of Georgia. Learn about how shipwrecks are found and explored, as well as why they are important, by uncovering hidden items on the S.S. Republic.

Duration: 25 minutesJoin our crew as we hoist the Jolly Roger and examine the Golden Age of Piracy. Search for buried treasure to find some of history’s most famous pirates–women and men–who’ve sailed the seas around Georgia.
